Hot on the heels of former WWE performer Maryse Ouellet’s decision to move on from the professional wrestling industry and attempt to make it in the fashion industry, Kelly Kelly may also be positioning herself for a career outside of WWE.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Kelly-squared is looking to position herself for acting and modeling gigs late next year and is pushing her real name, Barbara Blank, instead of Kelly Kelly.

Whether it’s her just trying to have a backup plan, testing the waters to see if there’s interest in her, or her outwardly looking at something different, we shall see.

Former WWE Divas champion Kelly Kelly has been granted "time off" by the company, according to a number of sources within WWE. One source noted that Kelly had been on the road full time since 2006 and needed the time off to recharge her batteries.

"She's been here since he was a kid, " said one WWE source. "She had been pushing for time away to spend with her family and her boyfriend. Six years for someone of her age (Note from Mike: 25) is a lifetime. She needed a break."

With that said, the word among a number of talents within the company is that they don't believe she's returning anytime soon, if at all as she has started to get her given name of Barbi Blank back out into the public eye and is currently accepting endorsements and appearances outside of WWE auspices. That information was added to her Twitter account within the last few days.

PWInsider.com can also confirm that Kelly has had meetings in the last week with management firms about representing her for acting endeavors independent of WWE.

Kelly's last televised appearance for the company was the 5/21 Raw. She last wrestled on 5/26 during the Ecuador tour.

So, time will tell.

Tauko tulee varmasti tarpeeseen. Onhan Kelly Kelly ollut yhtä soittoa remmissä mukana noin kuusi vuotta. Nuori ja kauniskin on vielä, joten töitä luulisi löytyvän WWE:n ulkopuoleltakin. Painitaitoja ei voi kehua, vaikka paljon on mennyt eteenpäin kaikessa sitten ECW-aikojensa. Toivottavasti tulisi takaisin. Onhan hän kieltämättä antanut kasvot naispainille Trishin lopetettua uransa.

Here is a Kelly Kelly update. Once WWE heard the stories making the rounds that she was looking for projects outside of the company during her time off, there was a push to get her to sign a new deal as soon as possible. She is still under a current deal but WWE feels she's the most marketable Diva currently on the roster and is willing to spend to lock her into a longer term deal.

What's interesting about the Kelly situation is that there's a feeling of burnout among much of the crew now that everyone is pretty much working every TV taping and with travel, losing 1-2 days they used to have to mentally and physically rest before going back on the road. There is a feeling among some that the Bellas, similar to Jeff Hardy years ago, might have started a trend with the women to get out and take breaks as opposed to continue on the grind. We'll see where Kelly ends up.

Kuultuaan KK:n muista projektihuhuista WWE haluaisi tehdä hänen kanssaan pitkän sopimuksen, koska he uskovat että hän on parhaiten markkinoitava Diva tällä hetkellä rosterissa.
